Lifting beam and special, wide lifting belts for lifting cows, horses and all other animals of similar size in emergency situations.
The lifting beam with two lifting points, specially developed for large animal rescue operations, is used for the safe and controlled lifting of large animals in emergency situations up to a weight of 1250 kg. In conjunction with the lifting belt, the lifting beam is characterized by the quick-release function and the integrated safety mechanism which allows the animal to be released quickly from a safe distance by simultaneously opening the two latches via a rope mechanism. The release can take place both under normal circumstances, as well as in the event of an unforeseen emergency, e.g. if an animal provides fierce resistance.
The beam consists of a rectangular steel profile (30 mm x 65 mm), thickness 2.5 mm, and an integrated release rod. Oval rings or carabiners can be hung at two lifting points. The locking mechanism is secured by a spring pin. The beam is hung with the oval ring and two 1.000 kg lifting belts leading from the oval ring to the suspension points at each end of the beam on a tested and approved lifting device.
The lifting straps are equipped with metal eyelets in which safety belts are hung to prevent the animal from tipping backwards or forwards. The easy handling allows a quick application of the tapes in an emergency. By means of large rope loops, the lifting belts are hung on the crane to lift the animal.
